AdvoCare International, L.P. (AdvoCare) strengthens its presence in the realm of professional tennis by increasing its involvement in and sponsorship of the sport and its athletes. The news comes as AdvoCare signs on two new tennis players to their roster of athlete product endorsers – Catherine ‘Cici’ Bellis and Ernesto Escobedo – in addition to their continued sponsorship of the Miami Open presented by Itaú and the WTA Premier Event in Northern California (formerly known as the Bank of the West Classic).
“The tennis community is an affluent, active group of individuals from fans to players alike,” says Joshua Watts, AdvoCare Director of Sponsorships. “Taking a look at the broad spectrum of tennis athletes, their typical fitness and diet regimens are one of the best examples in sports. We welcome the opportunity to better connect with them, strengthen our engagement in tennis and further diversify our portfolio of endorsers.”
18-year-old San Francisco native Cici Bellis is ranked World No. 56 and is the youngest player in the World Top 70. She won the 2017 Hawaii Tennis Open and was a semifinalist of the 2017 Bank of the West Classic. After her breakthrough season, Bellis was awarded the 2017 Newcomer of the Year award by the WTA. Bellis says she uses AdvoCare products such as Spark, Rehydrate, and VO2 prime bars to help her optimize her training and performance.
Hailing from Los Angeles California, 21-year-old Ernesto Escobedo has been playing tennis since the age of 4 and is currently ranked World No. 117. Escobedo has won two ATP Challenger events, including the 2016 ATP World Tour Challenger in Monterrey, Mexico, and the 2016 Kentucky Bank Tennis Championship in Lexington, Kentucky. Escobedo reports that AdvoCare products like Spark, Rehydrate, and Post Workout Recovery help him handle the tolls on his body.
“We are excited to welcome Cici and Ernesto into our product endorser family,” says Watts. “AdvoCare Product Endorsers are representatives of the brand who show integrity and respect, both in and out of sport. The athletes that represent AdvoCare choose our products because they see the positive impact that they have on their training and performance.”
In addition to signing on two new tennis endorsers, AdvoCare will continue its sponsorship of both the Miami Open presented by Itaú and the WTA Premier Event in Northern California. As the Official Sports Nutrition Partner, AdvoCare entered its inaugural sponsorship of each event in 2016 as part of a multi-year agreement. AdvoCare offers complimentary products from their Performance Elite product line for each athlete in the locker rooms at each event.
