AdvoCare International, L.P., a leading health and wellness company, today announced the promotion of veteran employee Patrick Wright to Chief Executive Officer. Wright’s elevation comes on the doorstep of his eleventh anniversary with the company.
With this move, Co-CEOs Brian Connolly and Reid Ward resume their retirement after returning to the helm for the last year and helping prepare Wright for his new role. Ward will now serve as AdvoCare’s chairman of the board.
“Patrick is deeply admired and respected by the AdvoCare family – our long-tenured employees and especially our Independent Distributors,” said Reid Ward, chairman of the board for AdvoCare International, L.P. “He is truly the right leader at a pivotal time for AdvoCare to take us into this next chapter. It’s been an honor and privilege to work with Patrick during my tenure with the company. It’s especially gratifying to see him develop during the last year.”
Wright joined AdvoCare in May 2008 as Director, Hispanic Market Development. Within two years he was named Vice President of Sales and then in 2012 was named Vice President of Marketing, a role he held for more than six years. Wright’s most recent role was Senior Vice President of International Sales, to which he was promoted in October 2017, and oversaw the expansion of AdvoCare into Canada. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University and his MBA from The University of Dallas. Wright started his career with Tahitian Noni International, now known as Morinda, for six years beginning in 2002 until he joined AdvoCare in 2008.
Wright will report directly to Board Chairman, Reid Ward.
“AdvoCare has brought so much to me personally,” said Wright. “There is nothing more powerful than seeing our Independent Distributors and Preferred Customers fall in love with our amazing product lines and hearing how those products changed their lives. I’m proud of what we’ve been able to accomplish at AdvoCare and am excited about what’s ahead.”
